The U.S. Intervention in Libya Was Such a Smashing Success That a Sequel Is Coming

Just as there was no al Qaeda or ISIS to attack in Iraq until the U.S. bombed its government, there was no ISIS in Libya until NATO bombed it.

Bombs away: No good will come of U.S. attacks on Libya

The problem is that the U.S. military activity, primarily by air but supported on the ground in Libya by hundreds of U.S. Special Operations forces - is that it does not make any sense in terms of U.S. objectives in Libya.
